How do Room Phone Transmitters work? A Room Phone Transmitter combines the features of phone bugs and room bugs into a single communication surveillance device so that you can hear your targets phone calls and room conversations. Once the device is connected to the phone line, it operates battery free and continually broadcasts phone surveillance and room surveillance depending upon the following factors.

When your target is in the room talking to other people, the conversation is transmitted to your radio receiver. When your target picks up the phone to answer or make phone calls, special controls suppress room audio during telephone conversations, allowing both sides of a phone conversation to be transmitted clearly and distinctly.

When the phone call is over and the phone is put back on-hook, a sensor recognizes the change in line voltage and immediately switches to transmit room conversations.
Because the Room Telephone Transmitter is connected to a phone line, it does not require a battery to power the transmission function. The phone line provides the power required for unlimited communication surveillance.
